Thoughts from the cold mountain hike

I was hiking up Marchoi in knee deep snow, thinking I should've been wearing skis instead of blundstones as snow was being shovelled into my boot with every stride I took forward, and I was focused on the sharp breeze cutting through my hands to the bone when it occurred to me...

hands, like the heart, are kept warm through work, only topped by the warmth from a fire, a hot cup of coffee, or the touch of a loved one.
